Partnerships

To help us realise our vision for all our children, we work closely with a host of external partners. Please browse some of these key partners below.

SchoolS

Whilst we work closely with schools in our locality and with a network of local church schools, our most crucial partnership is with our feeder school - Hampton Wick Infants. Please click here for more information.

Church

Diocese of London

Our school is part of the London Diocesan Board of Schools.

"Since being established in 1836 the LDBS have had responsibility for the leadership, support, growth and encouragement of our schools. Our current 163 schools are spread across 18 local authorities; we care for 59,000 students, as well as, many thousands of teachers and support staff working in our schools."

Key purposes of the LDBS are “to promote church schools” and “to promote education which is consistent with the faith and practice of the Church of England”.

More information about the LDBS can be found on their website.

Safeguarding

Operation Encompass

Our school is part of Operation Encompass.

Operation Encompass is a police and education early information sharing partnership enabling schools to offer immediate support for children and young people experiencing domestic abuse. Information is shared by the police with a school's designated safeguarding lead prior to the start of the next school day after officers have attended a domestic abuse incident thus enabling appropriate support to be given, dependent upon the needs and wishes of the child.

More information about Operation Encompass can be found on their website.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Teaching London SCITT

In addition to working with a number of local universities, our main partnership in the support and development of trainee teachers is Teaching London SCITT. We work with Teaching London to support trainee teachers to develop their practice and gain the qualifications and experience necessary to go on to be outstanding teachers. Teaching London is the teacher training provider of the London Diocesan Board for Schools.

SporTedd

SporTedd recently kindly funded all new sports kits for our children. Three kits for different sports totalling over £1000 have replaced our very well used but very tired old kits. Sport is a passion of our school and we are so grateful for the generosity of SporTedd in ensuring our children both look and feel the part as we look to see every child represent the school and go on to discover and explore their unique passions and talents in sport.

Woodland Trust (Our School's Charity of the Year 2021)

The children, through our children's leadership team - The School Council, voted that the Woodland Trust would be our chosen charity to support in 2021. So far, we have raised £220 from a mufti day for the Woodland Trust and lots more through our permanent donation box in the school office.

This is what the Woodland Trust do:

'We create havens for wildlife by planting millions of trees every year, campaign for new laws to protect ancient woodland and restore damaged ancient woods so they can breathe again.

Our vision is a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife.

We can’t achieve it on our own. We need your help too.'

The children at St John's want to help protect our environment and the future of our planet. We are pleased to support the Woodland Trust in their efforts to do this.
