Year 5 BLOG 6th March 2020
This week in year 5, we have been continuing our work on Kensuke's Kingdom. The children have been planning their own newspaper recounts detailing the story of Michael being found after spending a year stranded on a desert island.
In Maths we have been practising converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and vice versa using cubes, diagrams and our knowledge of multiplication and division facts. You could definitely practise this at home with your children!
We have also had an absolute blast designing and building model Anglo Saxon villages in Big Picture this week. It has been a messy and thrilling ride through history!
Today we really enjoyed watching 5J's class assembly. The whole school learnt so many new facts about Buddhism and we loved listening to the children perform a Buddhist chant.
