Year 4 BLOG 6th March 2020
Despite the pouring rain, we had a nice time on World Book Day admiring costumes and having time to share books with our friends or being read to during the reading picnic. It was lovely that some of you were able to come to read with your child.
In English, our main characters have just met some thoroughly nasty people (well, one person and one island)! We role-played their meeting and wrote about the contrast between the heroes and villains. We are also working on meeting our success criteria and targets when we write and on proof-reading and editing our work effectively.
In Maths we have started our fractions topic by revising finding equivalent fractions. We drew bar models to show we understand what equivalent fractions are.
We made a good start on learning the songs for the Year 4-led Easter service. We will be auditioning for speaking and singing parts next week.
In RE we thought about what karma means to Hindus and how that might look in daily life.
Our Settlements topic involved considering the advantages and disadvantages of different settlement sites.
4C have spoken about their up-coming class assembly. 4P are looking forward to seeing it!
Have a good weekend!
