Year 3 BLOG 14th Feb 2020
Year 3 have had a great end to this half term! We have started a new topic in our writing lessons all about letters! We will be spending a couple of weeks exploring different types of letters and their features , building up to writing our own letters.
In Maths, we have been working on adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator as well as playing some fun maths games involving fractions. We continue to be amazed by the children's growing confidence and enthusiasm for their maths lessons at the moment.
Both classes also enjoyed taking part in a science investigation linked to magnets. They had all come up with a key question in a previous lesson and designed the experiment around it, for example: 'Do magnets work under water?'
Two children in 3GP represented the school in the swimming gala on Tuesday and did the school proud!
3F are very excited about their class assembly which will be taking place on the first Friday back (28th Feb). 3F parents, we look forward to seeing you there!
We have really enjoyed seeing all of the children's fantastic book reviews and presentations! We were particularly impressed with some of the flashy powerpoints and colourful posters. Thank you to all those
who put so much time and effort in to these.
Have a wonderful half term holiday. We look forward to seeing you back on Monday 24th!
